Custom Shopのデザイナーが、今は亡き偉大なギタリスト、ローリーギャラガーの弟であるドーナルギャラガーと出会い、ローリーが愛用していた1961年製のStratocaster®を手に入れたのは1997年のロサンゼルスでのことでした。フェンダーは当初、ヨーロッパで販売するために40本のレプリカを製作しましたが、その後、さらなる要望が殺到しました。Rory Gallagher Tribute Stratocasterは、Heavy Relic加工された3カラーサンバーストアルダーボディ、メイプルネック、ローズウッドフィンガーボードに至るまで、オリジナルの正確なレプリカです。5つのSperzel®チューナーと1つのGotoh®チューナーを搭載し、12フレットのドットマーカーはオリジナルのクレイではなく白いプラスチックです。また、Custom Wound 60s Single-Coilピックアップを3基搭載し、エイジドクロームハードウェア、21本のミディアムジャンボフレット、シンセティックボーンナットを採用しています。巨匠にふさわしいオマージュに仕上がっています。
