When Fender introduced the American Acoustasonic Telecaster® in 2019, it truly changed the way the world could think about the relationship between an acoustic and electric guitar.

Fender doubled down the following year with the American Acoustasonic Stratocaster® to bolster the family. And now, there is a Jazzmaster option ready to bring the Acoustasonic line to even more players in search of a cutting-edge tool that features shape-shifting acoustic tones and the Jazzmaster bite that has fueled the sound of the underground for years.

As you can see in the opening episode of Fender’s new series, Versatile By Design - which features the musical stylings of guitarist Michael Lemmo - the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster® has limitless potential as a creative tool.

“It’s 75 years of looking forward,” noted Fender Executive Vice President of Products Justin Norvell. “It would have been easy as a company to just make Strats and Teles and look in the rearview mirror to be a nostalgia-based company, but that’s not what the company was founded on, and it’s not what we’re looking to do.”

The Acoustasonic Jazzmaster® boasts many of the same features as its' Tele and Strat siblings, with a resonant hollow body, eye-catching satin finishes, a Fender- and Fishman-designed Acoustic Engine delivering a wide range of acoustic and electric voices, and a patented Stringed Instrument Resonance System soundport that creates lively harmonics.

Additional key features include:

• A Blend Knob to seamlessly blend between acoustic and electric tones, unlikely body shapes and cool tonewoods to create new sonic colors that defy definition

• A five-way switch to access five unique voice pairs – a total of 10 acoustic and electric tones that can be played solo or blended

• The Acoustasonic Shawbucker, the new Tim Shaw-designed humbucking pickup produces the most high-powered Acoustasonic sounds to date

• The Fishman Matrix Undersaddle Piezo pickup, which highlights the true tonality of the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster – in turn creating one of the guitar’s most popular voice pairs, including Lo-Fi Piezo and Lo-Fi Piezo Crunch

Four new acoustic tones that deliver acoustic voicings working in tandem with the guitar’s unique resonance to deliver the warmest, most natural Acoustasonic tones yet

• An internal body sensor that creates a percussive top with enhanced harmonics that pop

Bold new colors, including Tungsten, Ocean Turquoise and Arctic White – plus more neutral tones like Natural and Tobacco Sunburst
