How much does it cost?
Price: $6,500.00 per student.
Add a Spouse Package includes:
- All Fender University evening functions including meals and shows
- Admission to the Fender University Commencement Party
- Tour of the Fender Factory and Custom Shop

Cancellation Policy: You may make a cancellation within 30 days (no later than February 4, 2009) and receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellation after 30 days (February 4, 2009) but your registration fee may be used for a future Fender University session within a 12 month period. Special guests, clinicians, instructors and performers subject to change.
You’ve just submitted your registration form. What happens next?
- You will receive an email confirming receipt of your registration form. Registration does not guarantee a spot in Fender University, nor does is obligate you to enroll.
- Once Fender University registration begins, you will be contacted by a Fender University advisor / course specialist who will be able to discuss enrollment process, course preferences, tuition and answer any of your questions.
- Once contacted by Fender University, confirming your enrollment, you will then have 3 business days to secure your enrollment at Fender University with the initial deposit of $2500. If you are accepted after January 5, 2008, you will be required to pay in full to secure your enrollment.
- While we’re busy customizing your Fender University experience you should make your flight arrangements. We’ll be in touch with you to finalize your arrival.
- In the meantime, you will receive your Fender University orientation package with everything you’ll need to know.
I don’t play guitar; can I still attend Fender University?
Of course you can! We'll have plenty of professors on hand to help you out, and before you know it you’ll be jamming along!
I don’t want to rent a car while I’m in town; how will I get around?
We'll provide transportation during Fender University activities.
Is there stuff for my family to do in the area?
The Mission Inn is located in historic downtown Riverside, with local shopping and dining options. The Mission Inn is about 20 minutes from the Ontario International Airport and 35 minutes from Disneyland. The hotel on-site concierge will be able to assist you and your family with any other needs.
Can I bring my 17-year-old son with me to Fender University?
Fender University is only open to adults, age 21 years or older. Check back often, as programs develop and there may be other opportunities in the near future.
Can I bring my own gear?
Fender will provide instruments for all students, but you may bring your own Fender instruments if you wish.
How should I dress?
Casual attire is acceptable throughout the daily activities. Sneakers, shorts and jeans are fine, but you may want to dress up a bit for the dinners and evening festivities. Closed-toe shoes are required for the factory tour in Corona.

Which airport should I fly into?
There are three main airports servicing the Southern California area.
Preferred Fender University Airports:
- Ontario International Airport – Ontario, CA
- John Wayne Airport - Orange County, CA
Fender will arrange transportation for guests from either of these preferred airports, Ontario International Airport or John Wayne Airport.
Los Angeles International, LAX, is located approximately one hour from the Fender University campus. If you chose to fly into LAX, you will be required to arrange your own ground transportation to and from the Mission Inn.
