Which MIDI interface should I buy for my G-DEC 30?
The following devices are known to work for any DEC function:
- M-Audio / Midiman 1x1, 2x2, 8x8
- M-Audio Firewire Audiophile
- E-Magic MT4
- Roland Edirol UM-1
- MOTU Fastlane
The following devices have known problems:
- Yamaha UX-16 - Update function will fail
- M-Audio USB UNO - Songloader will fail in handshake mode, though you may still load songs with the "Blind Transfer" option.
- Update function may fail with outdated drivers.

G-DEC 30 Song Loader Utility
- Transfers Type 0 MIDI songs from a computer to the amplifier using a standard MIDI connection.
- To convert MIDI files from Type 1 (most common) to Type 0 for use in the Song Loader on the Mac, use the freeware and open source MIDI File Converter utility below.
Note: the G-DEC 30 must be updated to version 1.03.00.03 or later before using the Song Loader.
