Using the Fender Super Champ X2 Amplifier Stand Alone and Connected to Fender FUSE
The Fender® Super Champ® X2 can be operated as a stand-alone amp, or it can be connected and operated with the Fender FUSE editor/librarian software (available at no additional cost). When operated in stand-alone mode, it will function as a 2 channel amp with channel one voiced for a Fender® Balckface™ clean tone. Channel two has a selectable voice knob with 16 selectable voicings listed in the owner's manual. The voice and F/X knobs are manually selectable. This functionality is mirrored in Fender FUSE with the ability to control and save both voice (channel two only) and F/X settings listed in the owner's manual to the amp through Fender FUSE. Additionally, when connected to the Fender FUSE software (Fender FUSE 2.0 Super Champ), the Fender Super Champ X2 can be edited to edit the voicing for channel two and the F/X chain as well. These settings can be saved to the amp as specific voice and F/X settings. It is also possible to create and save a "complete" Fender FUSE Preset with the amp connected to the Fender FUSE software. This can be done by selecting New from the controls in the upper left hand corner of the Fender FUSE interface. From there the user would select the desired amplifier moded/voice setting and effects/FX, and once satisfied with the tone and effects, save the Preset to the Fender FUSE local library. Complete Presets created in Fender FUSE will only load and function with the Fender Super Champ X2 connected to Fender FUSE. When the amp is disconned from the computer, it will revert to the last voicing and F/X setting that were saved to it prior to being connected with Fender FUSE.
