Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is the sole distributor in the United States and Canada of Fender electric instruments; Fender amplifiers; Fender acoustic instruments; Fender Pro Audio; Fender strings, parts and accessories; Brand X® amplifiers; Charvel® instruments; Gretsch® electric guitars, basses and amplifiers; Guild® instruments; Jackson® instruments; Olympia™ instruments; Orpheum® instruments; Squier® instruments and amplifiers; SWR® bass amplification; and Tacoma® instruments. From its warehouse in Corona, Calif., Fender ships directly to the more than 1,500 musical instrument retail outlets located throughout both nations, including Alaska and Hawaii.

As part of Fender’s commitment to complete customer satisfaction, all product lines distributed domestically by FMIC must first come to Fender’s California warehouse. They are subject there to a stringent inspection and hands-on quality control process before approval for shipment. Fender personnel inspect all instruments and amplifiers to ensure proper set up, intonation and playability upon receipt and removal from their containers by retailers.

After initial inspection, all products are inventoried with a state-of-the-art bar code system. In the warehouse, the bar code allows a computer-operated forklift to efficiently locate and retrieve any given product in seconds. The bar code also provides vital electronic product and tracking data, including model and serial numbers, pricing information, and shipping and receiving dates—all to facilitate better service to individual dealers by providing them with an organized and instantly accessible inventory.

Before leaving the warehouse, products are again subjected to an intensive inspection process. When an order has been placed and is ready to ship, Fender Distribution offers its retailers a variety of shipping methods and courier options. Generally, we’re able to ship high-quality, playable products from the warehouse to U.S. and Canadian retailers within three to four business days.
