I was playing a Band Track on the Fender G-DEC 3 and playback stopped when I got an email notification. Why?

It is a known issue that Windows system sounds, when played through the Fender G-DEC 3, will cause the currently playing Band Track to stop playing. For this reason, it is recommended that you disable all Windows system alert sounds when your Fender G-DEC 3 is connected.

To disable system sounds in Windows XP:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Choose Control Panel.
3. Click Sounds and Audio Devices.
4. Click on the Sounds tab.
5. Select No Sounds from the Sound Scheme drop down menu.

To disable system sounds in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

1. Click the Start button.
2. Choose Control Panel.
3. Click Hardware and Sound.
4. Click Change System Sounds under the Sound menu.
5. Click the Sounds tab.
6. Select No Sounds from the Sound Scheme drop down menu.

NOTE: If the Band Track stops playing and you weren’t using the Fender G-DEC 3 as an audio interface, verify that repeat is turned on for the selected Band Track.
