Worst pickups Fender has ever made

(1.0)
fenderchiq on October 31, 2013 (updated November 1, 2013)
Professional Blues Alternative Rock Pop Rock

I have these pickups on a 2010 American Deluxe and these are by far the worst pickups I've ever heard. They sound like cheap humbuckers from an entry level Ibanez. It sounds very very generic and is not strat-like at all. I was in the studio recording and we opted to record with a Squier instead of the Deluxe because the pickups were so bad. Fender really botched it with these pickups - they don't have any life to them.

N3 are a great pickup

Semi-Professional Blues Alternative Rock Classic Rock

I have these in a 2012 Fender American Deluxe and compared to my other strats, stand out considerably. The chime from the highs and the warm feeling from the neck, there is no comparison. I play Blues, Classic Rock and Rock and Roll. These pick ups do everything I want them to. I also use the 69s and compared to the N3s are a little limited as far as the chime that I require. They are a little expensive but well worth it, when you hear them.
