This was my first electric guitar, and what can I say, the thing is amazing. The maple neck is the most amazing neck I have seen on a Squier. The pickups are well-balanced, and also have a great tone on both the bridge and neck pickup.

I work in a small guitar shop near Detroit. We got one of these in yesterday and it absolutely blew me away. First of all it's gorgeous! A PINE BODY!!! Seriously one of the best acoustic woods for a solid body guitar, but be careful, it doesn't take much to nick it. And it actually has brass saddles, this guitar has amazing sustain! I know they're putting them on the American Special but seriously, they haven't been on a guitar at this price since before you were born. OK, the pickups aren't the best but for what they are they sound pretty good. And for a just few extra bucks you can grab some '52 pickups and have an amazing, unique Telecaster even a pro would take on stage!
I found this baby in a pawnshop for under $200.00. I had 5 other Tele's at the time. I played it thru a frontman 25r (Which I have also) Who ever owned it had some work done to it. The upgraded bone nut was perfect. I got the classic James Burton sound found on my old Ricky Nelson 45's. I didn't need another Tele, but for und 200 I had to get it. The fit and finish is top notch, It is super light and well balanced. I grew up with the 1980's Fenders from Japan with the thick neck finish which I love anyway. I have the 52 re-issue pickups in 2 of my Tele's and Texas Specials in another. The tone of this little guy rides side by side with these other Tele's. This classic vibe had some serious setup work done, It plays fantastic. When I let someone play it, they ask me if I want to sell it. If a guitar is that good that's what guys want. The only thing i would change is the color. If this was a 1500 guitar i'd dock a point. I love the colors of the 54-59 maple neck tele's with white pickguards. This guitar is too white, and i dont like black pickguards. Other than that this is one great guitar. If you even think you need a Tele. I think this is the best Tele on the market for und $1000.00

I've played many teles, mostly USA models and a few MIMs as well as a Squier Japan Strat from '84 (very good!!)
I've owned strats, Warrior, several high end and vintage Gibsons, Ibanez RGs and such
This guitar is absolutely amazing for the price -the thinline even more so.
I couldn't believe how well made it was, how well it sounded, the very high end guitar playablity -even more than a lot of USAs imo.
Its light, the pine has nice resonance and the pups are splendid for this price.
It plays better and feels better than many USA models, no kidding. Hard to believe its a Squier.
I wonder if its actually a custom shop with a Squier label just to let Fender see many people figure out the trick.
Just kidding but it really is as good as all the reviews.
At this price a hands down all time winner easily equal to a ton of other guitars costing 5 x as much.
I sure hope Fender US don't get jealous and dumb down production of these babies. lol
The perfect tele for anyone from beginners to top dollar pros.
Humble yourselves guys, just cause it says "Squier" doesn't mean shit anymore! This pure Fender quality!
Way to go Squier! Keep up the great Vibes ;-)
I am playing this guitar on a regular basis on jams in bars or legions, and I have to say you don't need to spend 1.000 or more for a Telecaster,
the Vibe plays very nice, sounds good and looks great, what I like the most it is light, you can have that guitar on you for hours and your shoulder is fine, anyway the vibe is my Tele and I like it a lot.

I actually bought one of these based on reviews seen on TDPRI Forum. Not the best way to buy a guitar but the reviews were spot on.
My first impressions of the finish were mixed. There were marks underneath the lacquer on the Pine that shouldn't have been there. I got another guitar sent and although this has a couple of very small marks under the lacquer, they are barely noticeable. However when I took it home and peeled off the scratch plate protector, there were burn marks on it, so I had a new scratch plate sent which I fitted myself.
Swapping the scratch plates gave me the chance to see what's under the surface. The fit and finish underneath is superb, with no rough edges and all the compartments painted. The quality of the lacquer on the body and neck is excellent too. And why don't they fit these classic tuners to all guitars? They are the best.
I really enjoy playing it, it has a classic (classy) tone. I haven't decided which pick-up position I like the best yet but it is versatile.
I have heard that the neck pick-up has been known to fail but should be covered under warranty.
Look up Anderton's on YouTube and watch their blind fold test of this, a Mexican standard, an American standard and a Custom Shop Tele. It's this review that clinched it for me.
I would suggest that you buy it from your local dealer, give it a play and a good look over.
I stand by my 5 star rating. The design, the combination of parts and materials is genius, just a shame that the QC team aren't a bit more vigilant.

When I want to play a Tele, this is the one I play. When I'm doing amp or pedal testing, I use this guitar. Why? Because it has the classic Tele tone and playability, time after time. I know what this guitar plays and sounds like so I'm not thinking about the guitar, I can pay attention to the amp or pedal under test. This guitar just feels good in your hands, like it belongs there. A super guitar at an even better price. If you are on the fence about this guitar, jump down and go buy one before they realize what a deal it is!
I have to start saying that the telecaster has its own spirit, is a design that reflects lots of common sense, simplicity and orientation to performance. This model has all the Mojo, in the same way the tele was first conceived by Leo, after all the tele was designed for to be rough, sturdy and reliable instrument for professional musicians. The materials on this guitar are in my opinion the best you can find in a guitar on this price range under 500 dollars. The neck is unbelievable perfect and smooth resembling the axes of the 50s and the body of pide gives the guitar a ligth weigth with the adition of the wood grain pattern and tonal character similar to the swamp ash. The guitar has an exelent hardware and the set up can be made very easy. This guitar is the gig musician best secret tool .

Buy this guitar. It is Great Looking and Great Playing. I cannot tell the difference between this and a Standard except that you get all of the great vintage parts.

Overall it's a great sounding Telecaster, out of the box it plays good.
The playability is great and the the has a nice "Twang"
Only remark I have is that it needs a setup job since the intonation is slightly off.
