I'm mainly a bass player but have played guitar longer than the bass. I'm finally in a band where I get to play guitar when I want to. I recently bought a Fender 350 Rumble bass amp and a Eden 4x10 Neo bass cabinet. I totally love that setup. I haven't had a tube guitar amp in 30 years and have had 2 solid state. I bought the first Line 6 amp that came out, then I was basically given a Marshall MG100. They both are loud as hell but suck as guitar amps. Most low watt amps only have a tube preamp and then have modeling sounds. This amp has a tube preamp and a tube power section, a true tube amp. The 15 watts are the loudest 15 watts I've ever heard. Perfect for small clubs, and easily run directly to the sound board, or mic'd. I was so happy playing a great sounding tube amp I actually forgot to try out the presets. Those are great and I still haven't tried the sounds online. I highly recommend this amp for a first amp for a beginner, or if you need a great sounding low watt amp this is it. I love the natural breakup overdrive sounds and I'm running it through a bass cabinet. Tomorrow I'll try it through my Marshall 4x12 cab. I'm sure it will rock.

I think this is an excellent piece if kit for multiple situations. The range of tones are amazing for such an inexpensive amp. Channel 1 is classic Fender - pure, clean and delicious whereas channel 2 is DSP at it's best. When you add in the Fuse software you have everything you need for being creative and letting your imagination fly. I have only just begin to explore the X2 but already realise the for £270 in the UK it's an absolute bargain - buy one! You won't be disappointed.
