A Real Gem

I have had my bass for several years now. The only mods done were knobs and a pickguard. This bass has the best feel and tone of any Fender Bass I own. It's a tad heavy, but the neck and fretwork are excellent. I play it in a popular local working band. This bass has served me very well

This metallic green Standard Jazz of mine is a good deal for the money. I suggest keeping with the standard strings for overall tone that works. I tried more expensive and less expensive strings and different winding and nothing gives a better tone set than the stock strings. The action is sweet on this. This is a heavy beast but it isn't lop sided. It balances well so when you play you tend to forget it's hanging on you. I have had compliments on this one, she looks sweet! Very durable.

I've owned my standard J bass for nearly 4 years, and it works for basically every style of music. The controls are perfect, the stock pickups are actually fantastic, and the neck is ridiculously easy to play. The tuners are insane, I can go for over a week without having to even touch them! Great tone, great feel, and of course great looks make one slick instrument.
