Fender introduces its first ever multi-effects unit in the form of the Mustang Floor-a versatile high-performance floor unit that delivers pro-level amp modeling, effects and artist preset sounds in a richly varied wealth of musical styles. And you don’t have to be a tech expert to use the Mustang Floor-it’s easy to use right out of the box.
A natural offshoot of our Mustang series amplifiers (basically a Mustang amp without the power amp and speaker), the Mustang Floor is designed for a variety of applications, only one of which is a great multi-effects unit for any basic guitar amp that puts more than three dozen digital effects at your feet. It’s also a modeling preamp with low-impedance speaker-emulated outputs for running direct to a PA system, a modeling preamp with line-level outputs for use with a power amp and speakers, a silent practice system with stereo headphone output and auxiliary input perfect for playing along with an iPod or other media player, and a fantastic tone machine for direct-to-digital USB recording.
Mustang Floor features include nine footswitches and a solid aluminum treadle-style control pedal, intuitive Mustang III control panel and LCD window, 12 amp models, 37 effects, 100 onboard factory and user presets, “individual stompbox” mode in which amp models can be bypassed, headphone output and auxiliary input, dual XLR and dual 1/4" line outputs with level control (outputs can be programmed for optimal response with PA system, power amp or guitar amp), chromatic tuner, and easy USB connectivity for high-quality low-latency audio output and interface with free Fender FUSE™ application. Fender FUSE™ software, included as a free download, offers on-screen parameter control, deep editing, “hidden” parameters, unlimited preset storage, easy firmware upgrades and additional free content from Fender, Fender artists and other users worldwide. Additional control available with optional EXP-1 pedal.

I like the option to use your tablet, laptop or pc to control your sounds, but it lacks the drum machine like my Digitech Element XP has. At the other hand the Digitech lacks the first mention option, ideal would be if this SP had this option also. Once Fender had such an Amp the G- Deck version ....
I love this unit. I not only use it for my guitar fx but also use it as an external fx module for Ableton Live. Using Fuse I can process fx in recordings on the fly. The only complaint I have is the delay, just can't seem to dial it in properly. Overall though, it's a sturdy and great unit. Would buy it all over again. Oh, and I must mention Fender support for Fuse. Had an issue with downloading presets and they responded quickly. Together, we solved the problem

Just about loving it! Put it in front or in the rear of your amp or plug headphones in. You can tweak just about everything on this unit, and use computer to do more. The expression pedal/s can control the amp, effects or the volume-great idea!
Use it to record tracks. My only beef is the tuner button is the same as tap button and all the lights are red but one. But it's got A To Z, Really like a ring modulator.

Got this to juice up my Frontman 212 a bit. So for the price of the Frontman and the Mustang Floor, I have all the cool tones, with more than enough power for a very reasonable price. I have the Blue Tolex covered Frontman, and it looks great and wounded good before I got the Mustang. Very happy with this combination.

Love the box. Tough as nails. Sounds great. Control layout intuitive while playing and easy to tweak presets on the device. The only reason I would not buy this product again is the software. It is obvious that Fender dumped a lot of time into making it look 'cool', but it is practically unusable. For example, you cannot do something as simple as re-order the presets by dragging them and dropping them. I had to write my own software to do that. Having been away from the manual for a while, I went back this morning to overwrite some presets and cannot figure out how to do it intuitively. This product would be 5 stars all the way of Fender would dump the Silverlight graphic interface and give me something that is quick, simple and intuitive.

I have had this unit for about six months now and I like the features it provides. The unit is all metal construction and the buttons are heavy duty, unlike some other units like this. The amp models and effects are really good as well. I have been playing around with rolling back the volume on the guitar to clean up the tone and it works pretty well on most of the amp models. There are two issue that are bugging me about the mustang floor. One is when I set up an effects chain with the wah effect, when I engage it I lose a little bit of volume. Two, the gain from the USB port is not set at the same level across all presets. You have to go in to each preset and set the USB gain level. This not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be a little annoying to do it for each "preset". All and all this a very well built unit with a lot of features. Well worth the street price you can pick this thing up for.

I researched a few floor units before going with the Mustang. It's really easy to get up and running with this effects unit and it has a lot of features. There aren't as many sounds, etc as some of the competitors, but that's ok. There's enough to work with to get a variety of clean/OD/distortion settings that sound really good. Easy to edit on the fly. I'm looking forward to USB-ing it to my computer and possibly adding the expression pedal at some point. Great addition to the arsenal!
