I bought this guitar because I always wanted to add a Telecaster to my guitar collection and liked the simplicity and understatement of the Esquire. I love all-maple necks and white or blonde finishes so I chose this model.
To be honest I did not expect a Mexican Fender guitar in this price range to be of such an excellent quality! I took the guitar out of the box and everything was perfect: the setup, the frets, the finish - the craftsmanship in general. I own a few guitars that cost five times as much as this one, and yet this Fender Esquire matches the quality of these guitars in almost every respect.
The thing I like most about this guitar is its playability. I do not know why, but I can play faster and easier on this guitar than on every single one of my other guitars. The neck seems to have been made especially for my hands ;-) ...
The tone is very special. In this respect this guitar will not be suited for everyone and it certainly is not suited for every song or every genre. The sound is very, very bright with a lot of twang and clarity and a very fast response. It is amazing how many different textures you can get out of the single pickup. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a "fat" and & "warm" tone with a lot of sustain, this guitar will not be the ideal instrument for you.

Body and neck woods, and construction is the best I've seen in this price point.
Vintage hardware is top notch quality.
Fretboard and radius is very comfortable.
Pickup wiring configuration is different, but easy to get used to, and really has the bite.
Highly recommended to any level of player, 100%.
