Fender's '70s Jazz Bass® captures the essence of the decade with striking looks and bright, full sound. That decade saw the bridge pickup placed closer to the bridge, creating a brighter, more cutting tone, and the addition of neck binding and block fretboard inlays. Features include ultra-slim neck with bullet truss rod nut, vintage-style alnico magnet Jazz Bass single-coil pickups, and vintage-style bridge.

Loved the playability of this bass in the shop when i tried it out first time, nice to play and easy on the eye.
Although, during a gig, the bridge began to lower its self, which was very disappointing. Had to glue the bridge in place until i could get a replacement.
If you are thinking on purchasing this bass i would recommend ordering a spare bridge and starting from scratch, or just keep saving and go American Standard.

This is one of many Fender Products i purchased along the years. The neck is not as thin as many jazz basses but surely is one of the best i ever played on. The pickups represent the era they are meant to sound like but were not my taste so i changed them to Dimarzio.
Overall there is a great build quality since it is a USA made instrument but i think it's overpriced a bit.

I've had this bass for 3 years. Great tone, easy to setup, well made.
When ever we're jamming everyone wants to give it a try. That should tell you everything you need to know right there.
Its a beautiful guitar, that plays really well and delivers amazing tone. I took a workshop and a musician showed me how to clean and set it up. From cleaning the frets to setting the action and intonation. It is an easy guitar to setup with high quality parts.
Jam once a week and gig once a month. New strings every month with neck adjustments and full cleaning every 6 months required in order to maintain that superior tone and sustain.
This will be my Bass for life.

Looked great, sounded great. But the workmanship and quality control were unacceptable, as the bridge was mounted almost a half inch to the right, making the G string dangerously close to the edge of the fretboard, and making the strings look way off kilter. I would not recommend buying any Made In Mexico Fenders, as I saw another MIM strat with the same issue. Stick with USA made, or Indonesian Squiers.
This not only has a beautiful tone but also looks beautiful and is so nice to play! Covering everything from Geddy Lee's amazing sound and Chris Squire's sound! This is a must for bass lovers!
