Hello There,
This is more of a review on how it lasts, more then how it was when I got it. I got the SCE in black going on 4 years ago. It was my first "professional" acoustic, and I admit, I was very taken with it. The tone, playability, and comfort were what sold me, plus a %30 discount (with bag). After owning it, playing it in many bands, shows, and taking her on the road, she is still an exceptional guitar for the price. My only qualms, are that the electronics are unbalanced, for even with EQ it still seems either too bright or too dark. Which may be because of how the wire sits under the bridge (Note: I have a previous model before the "viking" bridge, so this maybe Fender's solution), and the headstock, for as awesome as it is, it can't fit in many guitar cases. But the quality of the construction, the tone (best used with finger-picking), the Strat neck, and the overall comfortably of playing it, has not changed at all in the years. I highly recommend this model over most of their other line, and pretty much any acoustic within the $300-$500 price range.
