A true baritone Telecaster, it creates a rich sound of distinctive depth and character with a 27" scale, lowdown B-to-B tuning, and a tonally versatile triple-pickup configuration-including a full-throated humbucking bridge pickup-that covers the entire sonic spectrum from tic-tac twang to full-on kerrang!
Features include an alder body, maple neck, 9.5"-radius rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and aged white position markers, single-coil Telecaster neck and middle pickups, humbucking bridge pickup, five-way pickup switching, three-ply pickguard (black-white-black), skirted black amp knobs (volume and tone) and black switch tip, Blacktop Telecaster bridge and chrome hardware. This is a great Guitar, Tone is classic tele with several strat like pickup combinations.
When you get this guitar you will need to give it some TLC, to set the intonation.
All the saddles need to be adjusted back.
I had to remove the low b strings bridge spring to adjust the saddle back as far as it would go.
I also had to shorten the low b strings intonation screw so it would not hit the bare string after the saddle was pulled all the way back.
I swapped out the strings for D'Addario same gauge, but with a wrapped d string, instead or non wrapped.
Also, you may need to lower the height of the nut on the two smallest strings.
I also added a second string tree for the two middle strings.
Now once you get the intonation perfect, (which is normal for most production built instruments)
WOW - this guitar is 100% SWEET.

Played this at my local store and just had to take it home! Great tone, lots of fun to play. But...
Could not get the low B to intonate. Tune it up open, then the 12th fret B was sharp. Painfully, obviously sharp. Took it back to the shop, and they worked at it for a day, could not fix it. The saddle is backed all the way up and it isn't enough. So, back it went. New one came, same problem. The saddle is backed up, and the intonation is still off, but less so. They offered a third try and I said no, I'll keep it. It's close, the rosewood fretboard is beautiful, the copper paint is perfect. It is not quite so obviously out now, but I tune that string to the 12th fret and allow the open string to be a bit flat. I mean, if you buy a baritone guitar, it HAS to be playable in that extended range, right?
Other than that, the finish is beautiful, fretboard too, and it's fun to experiment in a new range of music. The neck is slightly longer than a regular Tele, but not enough to be a difficult transition. Just doesn't quite fit the cases I own. The five way switch and three pickups with bridge humbucker offer a lot of options, more than I use for jazz, but so? It's a bargain for what it costs.
But please, in version 2.0, back up the bridge a bit, okay! The shop just got in a new one in their stock, and I played it this week. Same problem with the B string...

I love my Baritone Tele, but shame on you Fender! for making a guitar that won't intonate without modifications. I took mine to the local guitar shop for a setup, and they did a great job moving the bridge back a quarter of an inch so that the low E string would intonate correctly.
After a little TLC though, she's playing great and sounds wonderful.
