I'm using this Roger Waters P-Bass for a half year now and I love it! It has dynamic and great sound. I absolutely recommend it for everyone who's searching the classic bright, warm and deep Fender P-Bass tone. In the past I used some low-mid-ranged J-Basses and P-Basses, but I never catched this cool and elegant tone.
Since I play this instrument I hear the same sound from my amp that I heard in my childhood's favorite rock albums.
I also love it's wider maple neck, the black hardware and the brass nut. This instrument is sexy and cool.

I've been playing the Roger Waters model P-Bass for about 2 years now and absolutely love and recommend it. The tone is really rich and full, sounds great on a half-stack or a practice amp. I also play a MM Stingray and while it has a comparable thump on the low-end, it's neither as warm nor bright as my RW P-Bass. To me this is noteworthy since the Fender uses passive pickups while the Stingray uses an active pickup.
The wider neck is a lot of fun to play with, especially with bigger hands that can be clumsy later on in a gig. It's a heavier guitar, but it feels sturdy and easily compensates with the distinctive growl it emits. This bass guitar is a terrific value for the price.
The only issue I've had is that the saddles can loosen from heavy finger plucking, especially on the E and A strings. I attribute this mostly to my own playing style, but is something to look out for as it can cause you to go out of tune midway through a song. Also, playing on the wider neck takes some getting used to - in terms of finding notes, muting, as well as conditioning your hand - but is well worth it for that smoother tone.
I mostly play harder rock music, however I've also used this bass to noodle around on some bluegrass and rockabilly. With the right fretwork and muting you can make this model sound a lot like a stand-up bass.
