American Special

When many players faced considerable belt-tightening in the late 2000s, Fender responded with the American Special series. Introduced in 2010 as an eminently affordable family of U.S.-made models, these instruments have upgraded features including special pickups, circuitry, bridges and finishes. Distinctive American Special Stratocaster and Telecaster models came first, joined later by American Special Precision and Jazz Bass models.
