Fender's American Deluxe Telecaster® guitar is the 21st century way to rock with a Telecaster. The compound radius fingerboard allows effortless string bending anywhere along the neck, and staggered locking tuners improve tuning stability for stunt guitarists who like to bend behind the nut. N3 Noiseless™ pickups provide improved Telecaster tones for snappy bell-like chime with no hum; other features include a bound-top body with belly cut, S-1™ switching, chromed brass bridge saddles and beveled neck heel.

This is my first Fender (guitar), and it is flawless. I love how this guitar sounds and feels, and am acclimating to the scale length, neck radius and pristine tones - I am also discovering the whole Tele world of signature styles and technique, Oddly, that it is so easy to play and articulate takes away all excuses and lays bare one's true ability - and there is no faking! It is the right tool to develop a more nuanced style - hallmarks of a true artist. Already I am adding more dimensions to my playing technique. A lot to aspire to as I embark on my new Televenture! I can still rock out with the S1 switch to fatten up my tone, but it is still easier to hear what aspects of my playing need work. This guitar makes me work harder at my own limitations rather than struggling with those of a (lesser) instrument. The fit and finish make it a pleasure to hold and behold.

I have had many Fender Telecasters in my life, from the simplest American Standard to the more iconized Telebration Series. And I also have had a few "telecaster shaped" guitars made by other makers. This is the best one. The pups are great. The S-1 works beautifully for me. The finish is perfect. And it plays any style. I think that this is Telecaster that I will never part with and would ever mod.

I bought a few years back, from the first series of the "American Special", my first Telecaster. I was curious about the Tele for a while and the opportunity to get one at a cheaper price was very appealing to me. I fell in love with her and she's still a very busy guitar. Then I got in a band that asked to go a little further than what my American Special could offer. Went to the shop again, this model wasn't on the wall so I tried a different Telecaster that had different features from this one. I tried the N3 Pickups on one, then the beveled neck heel, which is for me today one of my favorite features. So after trying all of the features of this telecaster I ordered her. She arrived PERFECT and offers as I was thinking, a lot more versatility for playing a lot of different tones for the band I was in. As a friend of mine said in a Video review we posted on youtube " - She owns all of the cool features of a standard Telecaster but without the little annoying things you can find on a Standard." Marck.T... It's definitely a modern tele made to deliver a modern tone and is so much easier to play... Again Fender made it for me.. Now it's yours to judge when you give her a test run...

This is my first deluxe tele, was excited when it finally arrived on my bday. I like the neck and fret board more than the standard. Positioning so close to my strat that the sound was the only difference I noticed. Great country tone and fair on blues. Very fast action. It is lighter than the standard model tele. Love it. The only problem I had was when I took it out of the case, removed the tag and desicant from under the strings. I pluged it into my tuner and began to tune it, When I got to the 1st string it broke or pulled out of the machine head. I guess it was a good thing I had an extra set of bullets so i could enjoy my new guitar the first day I had it.

I always wanted a Telecaster and when the opportunity presented itself, I didn't think about it twice. This guitar has everything in it, from the vintage look, to the killer modern electronics.
I run this guitar through a Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Limited Edition (Merlot) and the sound is just awesome. Cleans are cleans and the reverb just sounds amazing.
Don't hesitate, this guitar is everything you want and more!

Everything about the guitar was satisfactory, flawless quality, a work of art. This neck style, compound radius modern C, is my favorite. The pickups sound great, ready for today's music. The only shortcoming is the provided model of SKB case. This case model is disrespectful to the fine craftsmanship of the instrument. One, the guitar was received with fuzzy hairs all over it from the case lining, and the first effort is to clean off the guitar, and vacuum the case. Two, the TSA lock of this case style has a locknut with insufficient thread protrusion, which caused failure. Another flaw of this case model. A Deluxe guitar deserves a Deluxe case. The SKB 3i model case should be provided instead to be a better match in quality.

It can play everything really well. Just bought this guitar a couple of days ago and I'm blown away by its versatility. The S1 switch has a great tone and really opens your sound to a lot more tonal options than you can imagine. The body counter, the locking tuners and the fret board radius are modern tweaks that make a huge difference to the guitar. Not for shredders but everything else, pretty much.

It is a perfect mix between the classic and contemporany Telecaster sound and technology. The sound is fresh and powerful. It´s a best value Fender and my favorite guitar, by sound, technology and look. Enjoy the Fender American Deluxe Telecaster!

Over the years, I've owned a lot of Teles, including my favorite - a '71 Thinline. But as far as playability and versatility, this one is a keeper. I must admit, it took me a little while to get used to the feel of the contoured back - a totally different feel than the contour of a Strat - but it's a really comfortable guitar to hold for a long gig. The noiseless pickups are a big feature for me after a lifetime of dealing with ground hum - plus with the S-1 switching, I can get tones I never dreamed of ever getting with a Tele...without sacrificing the tone that made me want to be a Tele player in the first place. And the contour of the maple neck feels different (in a good way) than any other Tele I've played. The locking tuners are a nice touch. I must also say that it's a well-constructed guitar - everything good and solid, playable right out of the box.
That said, I'm not a big fan of the way they've matched the wood on the top - it almost looks there's part of a knothole there or something. I thought it was just an aberration with my guitar, but others I've seen are similar. Also, although many prefer the molded SKB case, I'm a traditionalist and replaced it with the old style Fender case.
This is now my primary guitar, replacing an American Standard that I played for over 20 years. And, I can easily see this being my go-to guitar for many years to come.
i bought the 2010 deluxe tele (60th years anniversary version) in last year. the sound is incredible with Marshall JCM-800! a lot better than Standard Tele with just US400 more even the 2011 upgraded version of standard tele with new pick up! Fender may take a considerartion to increase the price of deluxe tele or lower the price of standard tele....

A beautiful machine, my second tele, and the longest owned guitar Ive ever had. (and Im not changing it!). This guitar almost plays itself its so easy. Sounds fantastic in the studio and live, great tone and feel across a wide scope of tones. Mine is the 09 though so no S3.
And the belly cut contouring brings the tele into the present with a comfortable shape. Excellent.

This tele has a lot more chime and twang than other teles and G&L ASATS that I have had. I can't help playing a litlle country on it even thought I got it mainly for blues. It has nice smooth neck and the frets are big enough and have smooth edges. Mine has a cherry finish with a sparkle pickguard and looks super up close and at a distance. If you are a tele player, this model is very playable. Not quite as easy as a strat, but fine. The fit and other workmanship are excellent.

I picked up thisTele about two years ago. It had the nice Cherryburst finish, maple neck and seemed like an upscale version of the classic Telecaster design. It has locking tuners, the S-1 switching system, that I loved in the American Deluxe Stratocaster. Beautifully finished with the pearloid pickguard. I traded it in because it just never cut it for me. The S-1 seems kind of silly on a Tele. You are pretty much only using the bridge pickup as it is......bright and singing. Why fatten it up?? And it just sounded too thin for my taste. A Telecaster should just stay simple. That is what has made it last for sixty plus years!
This is by far the best tele I have played on and owned. The noiseless pickups are beautiful, the action is perfect out of box, and this guitar plays so well. I wouldn't change anything.

I have owned and played a 1974 Fender Stratocaster S/N 524004 and enjoyed ever minute of it and continue to do so. I have always wanted to add the distinctive sound of the Telecaster, so just recently I added an American Deluxe Telecaster, SB with rosewood fretboard. It has taken a little getting used to, but now that I have set it up to suit my playing, it is fantastic. I have always heard players say the the Telecaster has a distinctive sound and now I know what they mean. The Tele sound of this American Deluxe with the S1 switch is fabulous. The quality of the instrument is second to none. The controls are all really neatly placed to make it so easy and fast to make any adjustments for pick-up selection, tone and volume change etc. I am glad I was finally able to make this an addition to my guitar collection, and would highly recommend it any serious guitar player, amateur or professional.

I have to be honest and say that I initially didn't think I'd be coming back to this guitar as much as I do. I use a lot of clean tone and am running into a Vox AC30, but didn't want to stay in a country-ish tone for much. I have to say that this guitar is amazing for so many other types of tone. The addition of the S-1 switch really brings this guitar to life. It gives a lot of versatility without the need to do random pull/push pots later on. The guitar feels very solid and the compound fretboard makes it the only guitar I have where I can fret full bar chords really high up the neck. All in all, a great buy and with all the nice finishes (compound fretboard, locking tuners, strap locks, S-1 switch, etc.).
