EVH® INTRODUCES NEW STRIPED SERIES & 5150®III COMBO

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.  (January 24, 2013) – EVH is proud to release the EVH Striped Series guitar, which features a basswood Stratocaster®-style body decked out in Eddie Van Halen’s famed striped graphics. The three versions are red with black stripes, black with yellow stripes and white with black stripes.

The guitar also has a graphite-reinforced maple neck with a hand-rubbed oil finish and thumbwheel truss rod adjustment, compound-radius maple fingerboard (12”-16”) with 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays, plus a single ferocious direct- mount Wolfgang® humbucking pickup. Other premium features include a single white volume control knob (labeled “tone”), single-ply black pickguard (white with black stripes model only), bar string retainer and Floyd Rose® locking nut, EVH-branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo with EVH D-Tuna®, EVH die-cast tuners, chrome hardware, vintage-style strap buttons and EVH neck plate.

Meanwhile, on the amplifier front, EVH introduces the EVH 5150III. It’s a tube combo amp with two Celestion® G12M 8-ohm speakers and three channels (clean, crunch and lead). Powered by seven JJ ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes and two JJ 6L6 power tubes, it also features front-panel adjustable power output from 50 watts down to one watt.

Features include a single input, rear-panel selectable output impedance (4, 8 or 16 ohms), versatile controls for gain, low, mid and high EQ, volume, master presence, rear- panel master resonance, power level, level for the built-in DSP reverb, rear-panel MIDI input and preamp output, two rear-panel parallel speaker outputs, rear-panel effects loop and headphone jack (which mutes the power amp), and a four-button footswitch that controls all three channels and reverb.

Construction features a custom-shaped birch cabinet with special internal baffling, vintage-style chicken-head control knobs, red jewel light, recessed metal side handles, plastic top strap handle, and casters. Fitted cover optional. Available in Black and Ivory.
