The Gin Blossoms, the band that brought us hits such as “Hey Jealousy” and “Found Out About You,” is set to release their new album No Chocolate Cake on Sept. 28. Its lead single “Miss Disarray” is already available for purchase here.
Singer Robin Wilson told me during an interview on Saturday that No Chocolate Cake represents the most solid bunch of songs the band has delivered since 1992’s multi-platinum album New Miserable Experience.
No Chocolate Cake is also their first album since 2006 and their debut under new label 429 Records. To celebrate the release, we’re giving away a Fender Tele and the CD. Enter here.
Also, the platinum-selling band will appear at in-store event on Sept. 29 at the Best Buy in Tempe so stop by 1900 East Rio Salado Parkway at 7 p.m. to hear their acoustic set and get an autograph.
One last bit of goodness on the Gin Blossoms front to mention is their charitable efforts. In past years the band has held a “Scoops of Love” event at a Cold Stone Creamery in Arizona to raise money for the Scottsdale NICU. Due to scheduling conflicts, the band is unable to hold the event this year and is instead donating a portion of its scheduled Arizona shows to the NICU. To learn more about the Scottsdale NICU, watch the video below and if you’d like to join the Gin Blossoms in their efforts to aid this organization, please call 480.882.4517 or visit the secure website here.
