Phosphorescent, the nom de plume of Brooklyn-based artist Matthew Houck’s band, released their sixth studio album in March. Muchaco is a beautiful 10-song trek into ethereal, dream pop that features several soaring ballads stretching over five and six minutes long, made even more poignant with Houck’s deeply introspective lyrics.
Recently, Phosphorescent stopped by the New York studios of WFUV to play a few songs fromĀ Muchacho, pulling outĀ ”Terror in the Canyons (The Wounded Master)” and “Song for Zula.”
