What do a signed yoga mat, guitar and pair of trainers all have in common? All three form part of a unique 33-piece online charity auction that is supported by some of the world’s most famous musicians and comedy artists in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
Following the seven night sell out of Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall in March, which were curated this year by Noel Gallagher, all the artists who performed signed memorabilia backstage.
This marked the thirteenth successive year of Teenage Cancer Trust shows and it featured an incredible line up including Ryan Adams, Beth Orton, Russell Brand and Noel Fielding, Primal Scream, Kasabian, Labrinth, Rizzle Kicks and Paul Weller. Noel Gallagher performed with his High Flying Birds and also joined Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Paul Weller onstage to perform a special version of “Tender.”
The one-week live auction includes a Fender Classic Player ’60s Strat signed by Ryan Adams, Don Was, Cindy Cashdollar Benmont Tench and Jeremy Stacey.
All money raised from the auction will be donated solely to Teenage Cancer Trust. Every day in the UK, six young people are told they have cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units within NHS hospitals that bring young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them.
