When we caught up with Tyler Bryant last week, just prior to his first show opening for Jeff Beck, he told us he was basically freaking out just to be able to to watch the legendary guitarist play every night.
“I was in rehearsal with my band (Tyler Bryant Band) when I got the call that I had just gotten the Jeff Beck tour and I’m pretty sure I ran up and down the halls at like 400 miles an hour because I was so excited,” shared Bryant. “It came out of nowhere and I’m kind of just over the moon. Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist so it’s going to be three-and-a-half weeks of me taking notes and watching him play.”
So we can only imagine what he must have felt like to receive a rare invite by Beck to join him onstage in Minneapolis Sunday for the final song of the night, and again last night in Grand Rapids, Iowa.
Watch the encore cover of Sly & the Family Stone’s “I Want to Take You Higher” from both nights below.
