The Pixies Talking About a New Album

Although the Pixies have enjoyed a series of highly successful reunion tours since reforming seven years ago, they’ve put of fans’ pleas for a new album. According to drummer David Lovering, their legion of fans might finally get their wish.

“It’s definitely a stronger possibility than it was a few years ago,” Lovering tells Rolling Stone. “It’s going to be baby steps, though. We have the formula and we know we can do it. But if we put something out, it has to be good. Period. We don’t want to break the legacy. It’s much more of a free subject to talk about now though. We’re gonna go slowly and see what will happen.”

Earlier this week the band announced their fall Doolittle “Lost Cities” tour, which hits cities they’ve never played in before. Dates below. Purchase your tickets here.
