Beginning earlier this month, CBC Radio 3 host Grant Lawrence started out on a road trip from Vancouver to Toronto, hitting many Canadian cities along the way in a brand new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Fender Edition.
Lawrence started his trip in Cranbrook, B.C., where he caught up with the Good Ol’ Goats. The band actually held a lunchtime concert that Lawrence attended at their high school, Mount Baker Secondary. The mountain-tinged group also gave Lawrence an unusual parting gift – a live goat.
Check out their performance below and visit the Good Ol’ Goats’ official website to hear their debut album The Train.
Lawrence’s journey will end in Toronto on June 16, after which he will have met with countless fans and 19 artists. In addition, the campaign is taking suggestions as to what artists and roadside attractions along the Trans-Canada Highway to feature. Click here for more information.
