The guys in the Gaslight Anthem wear their New Jersey roots like a badge, so when Hurricane Sandy carved a path of destruction through New York and Jersey, it’s understandable that they would want to help in the recovery efforts.
To raise awareness, the Gaslight Anthem’s latest video for “National Anthem” – an acoustic cut off Handwritten – shows poignant images of the devastation and people working to clear the wreckage. In addition, the band has created two new t-shirts, the proceeds of which will be split between Move for Hunger’s Rebuild Recover campaign and Architecture for Humanity’s Rebuild Seaside Pier effort.
