Denver indie popsters Tennis released their sophomore album Young and Old in February, and the Alaina Moore- and Patrick Riley-led group brought their new tunes to The Stage on 6th Street in Austin on Friday for the South by Southwest music festival.
Clad in pastel shirts with surf sensibilities, Tennis seemed to be somewhat of a counterbalance to the Willie Nelson and Hank Williams portraits on the venue’s walls.
But on a sunny 60-degree afternoon, it worked perfectly.
Tennis culled a set from their 2011 release Cape Dory and 2012′s Patrick Carney-produced (Black Keys) Young and Old.
