Sting: 25 Years, a definitive box set collection featuring three CDs comprised of 45 remastered tracks personally curated by Sting, a previously unreleased live concert DVD and a comprehensive hardcover book is slated for release on Sept. 27.
This consummate collection contains selections spanning his entire solo catalog, from his 1985 debut album, The Dream Of The Blue Turtles, to his latest release, Live in Berlin. Highlights include all of Sting’s top 40 hits as well as Grammy winners “Brand New Day,” “The Soul Cages,” “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You,” and “Whenever I Say Your Name” featuring Mary J. Blige.
Sting’s official website is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sting’s career with the “25 Days” countdown. The Fender signature artist also has another milestone on the near horizon; Sting will turn 60 on Oct. 2. The rocker will celebrate the occasion with a charity concert in New York at the Beacon Theater featuring Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Black Eyed Peas rapper will.i.am, Rufus Wainwright and Billy Joel. Proceeds from the concert will benefit anti-poverty charity, the Robin Hood Foundation.
