Singer/Songwriters Converge on Cayamo Cruise

Several of today’s best and brightest singer/songwriters recently took to the open sea for the 2013 Cayamo cruise.

For seven days, the ship journeyed from Miami to stops that included the islands of Tortola and Antigua.

The performing cruise artists included Lyle Lovett, Richard Thompson, Brandi Carlile, The Civil Wars, Keb’ Mo’, Shawn Mullins, Edwin McCain and Dawes.

Some of the footage from the cruise has since been popping up on YouTube. Watch special guests Robert Ellis, Larry Campbell and Jason Isbell join Dawes for versions of Randy Newman’s “Rider in the Rain,” The Band’s “Chest Fever” and Neil Young’s “Cortez the Killer,” respectively, below.

Passengers on the cruise will also have an opportunity to win a Fender Stratocaster signed by Cayamo artists by emailing a photo of their journey to cayamo@sixthman.net by 6 p.m. ET on Feb. 6.
