Shinedown Guitarist Stops by Fender HQ

Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers just ordered about a half dozen new Fender instruments — including the John Mayer Special Edition BLACK 1 Stratocaster — but after visiting Fender headquarters in Scottsdale this afternoon, he went home with a few more.

And although Shinedown just announced their first-ever acoustic tour, which gets under way on Nov. 4, Myers went ahead and stocked up on our new Hot Rod Deville III amps and four new Super-Sonic 212 cabs for his live rig.

Shinedown is in town to play this weekend’s Fall Frenzy at Tempe Beach Park, joining the Stone Temple Pilots, the Cult and Sevendust on Friday’s bill. Get details here.

So far what he’s learned about Arizona is that it is so hot it will melt your iPhone.  After hanging out poolside, Myer took a look at his mobile and came across this warning:
