Rush Announces New Album

Rush will return June 12 with their first album in five years with Clockwork Angles, a 12-track effort that was recorded between April 2010 and the fall of 2011.

The first single, “Headlong Flight,” will drop April 19.

According to a press release, the album “chronicles a young man’s quest across a lavish and colorful world of steampunk and alchemy as he attempts to follow his dreams. The story features lost cities, pirates, anarchists, an exotic carnival, and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life.”

Science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson is working with Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart on a novelization of the album.
