Red Hot Chili Peppers Play Surprise Show

The Red Hot Chili Peppers debuted new music and their new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer last night at the Henry Miller Memorial Library, a cultural center and book store, in Big Sur, Calif. The surprise performance was announced just three hours before show time, and was mostly comprised of friends and neighbors of Flea, who lives in the area.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers played five songs from their upcoming album I’m With You, due out on Aug. 30.

“Every other song is a new thing, things we’ve never played before,” singer Anthony Kiedis explained after the first three songs of the set.
