Primus will perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight in New York City, but there is an even bigger event happening afterwards.
Following their performance on Fallon, the trio will play a benefit at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre for bassist Les Claypool’s nephew Matthew, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and was admitted into the hospital at 2 months old.
Unfortunately, just at a time when he’s learning to walk, little Matthew has had a major relapse and is back at Stanford Medical Center for treatment. All proceeds from this show will go toward Matthew’s medical bills.
If you can’t make it to the show but would still like to support Matthew and his family visit www.babymatthew.org to make a donation.
Having released Green Naugahyde in 2011, Primus has a full slate of tour dates scheduled for the rest of the year.
