Legendary rockers Rush are set to release a new DVD titled Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland Nov. 8, the same time a two-disc live album – Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland and Moving Pictures: Live 2011 hits stores.
The Canadian band captured their show at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena during the wildly-popular Time Machine Tour. As a centerpiece of the tour, Rush played their entire landmark album, Moving Pictures, which marked a first.
“We realized that we’ve recorded almost all of our DVDs abroad,” Rush frontman and Fender artist Geddy Lee told Rolling Stone. “And we had never done one in America, and we noticed we were doing Cleveland on the last leg of the tour. We thought it was an appropriate choice seeing as Cleveland’s such an important town in our history. It was the first city that was ever warm to us. We thought it would be kind of apropos to come full circle and do that particular show there.”
For a juicier teaser of this epic release, footage of Rush playing 1981′s “Tom Sawyer” hit the Internet, paired with a goofy video they showed just before jumping into the song.
