Portugal. The Man Finishing up New Album & Hitting the Road

Alaskan foursome Portugal. The Man is putting the final touches on its sixth studio album and first on the Atlantic Records label. The album, which will be produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A.) and mixed by Grammy winner Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Coldplay), is set to hit shelves later this year.

Meanwhile, the experimental rock outfit has multiple appearances on the books at the SXSW music festival next week, including a Thursday night show at Stubb’s that will air on AOL Music’s Sessions the following day.  Their Austin appearances will be followed by a 10-date European leg and a string of Northwest dates in April. In May, Portugal. the Man will crisscross the continent, eventually ending up at Bonnaroo in June. Click here for ticket info!
