With its new warehouse space at the Whitley in downtown Austin, Hype Machine’s Hype Hotel party on Monday night proved to be an ideal intimate setting for Passion Pit’s bouncy electro vibe that was streamed live.

Passion Pit rocked the packed space with fan favorites “Take a Walk” and “Cry Like a Ghost” off last year’s Gossamer before eventually ending the set with “Little Secrets” from their debut full-length Manners.

The band has been in town for SXSW Interactive to film a Taco Bell-sponsored rockumentary tentatively titled “Feed the Beat: SXSW 2013″ that will include footage from last night’s set. The Sam Jones experimental documentary also stars Wildcast! Wildcat! and will feature tweets, Vine videos and instagrams from fans that use the hashtag #FeedtheBeat.
