Passion Pit Delivers Toned-Down Set for Tiny Desk Concerts

Passion Pit’s latest album Gossamer is chock full of soaring electro-pop hooks, even if the theme of many of the songs deal with frontman Michael Angelakos’ battles with bipolar disorder and substance abuse.

Angelakos recently stopped by the Washington, D.C., offices of NPR to strip down a few of those tracks for a Tiny Desk Concert.

And while the bare-bones versions may not be as dance floor-ready as a full show would be, the lyrics shine through with a quiet keyboard and guitar as accompaniment.
