Even after losing two band members late last year, Paramore promised they would release new music by the end of 2011.
Sure enough, the band has announced that three new songs will be debuted before we reach the new year. “Renegade,” the first of the batch, became available on the band’s official website at the time of the big reveal. Paramore played the cut live for the first time in early September during a show at New York’s Terminal 5 to commemorate the 15th birthday of their record label, Fueled by Ramen.
Subsequently, new track “Hello Cold World” will be released Nov. 7 and “In the Mourning” on Dec. 5.
Don’t go looking on iTunes or Amazon for the music, however. Fans can only get the songs on Paramore’s home site.
In an open letter, the band talked about the process.
“For months now, we’ve promised that we’d be releasing some new songs before the end of the year. Well, here is where we finally make good on all of that,” the now-trio wrote. “We are very happy to announce the Paramore Singles Club that will be happening throughout the rest of the year.
“This club is our way of getting these songs directly to the Paramore family.”
Paramore also assured fans that a new album is in the works.
The statement continued: “We really wanted to do something special for all of you around the holidays to thank you for making 2011 so amazing and sticking with us as we go into 2012 and start working on the new album.”
