We’ve added new performances by Ozomatli and Camera Can’t Lie to the WGN Music Lounge presented by Fender playlist.
The Grammy-winning band Ozomatli recently released their fifth studio album Fire Away, which the LA Times says, “delivers a characteristic 75 mph, 20-car pileup of thunderous brass and irrepressible percussion.”
Los Angeles recently designated April 23 as Ozomatli Day, recognizing and celebrating the fifteenth year of their local band, which band members Jiro Yamaguchi and Ulises Bella once described to NRP as follows:
“You drive down Sunset Boulevard and turn off your stereo and roll down your windows and all the music that comes out of each and every different car, whether it’s salsa, cumbia, merengue, or Hip Hop, funk or whatever, it’s that crazy blend that’s going on between that cacophony of sound is Ozomatli, y’know?”
Camera Can’t Lie, a rock band from Minneapolis comprised of high school friends Eric Arjes, Kyle Lindsay and Josh Bendell, recently released their new EP “Not Everyone Leaves” on Atlantic Records.
The band is currently on tour with former American Idol contestant Jason Castro.
