Oz Noy Releases New Album, Preps New January Shows

Celebrated New York-based guitarist Oz Noy’s new album Twisted Blues marks his most eclectic to date, and he had help with the addition of drummer Chris Layton and keyboardist Reese Wynans of the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan Band.

Released Nov. 15, Noy is now preparing a weekend of shows at the Iridium in NYC from Jan. 6-8, added onto the dates he currently has during the month of December.

Twisted Blues is Noy’s fifth album, recorded in one part in Austin with Eric Johnson on guitar and Roscoe Beck on bass, in addition to Layton and Wynans.

There was also a New York session featuring a stellar lineup of Vinnie Colaiuta and Anton Fig on drums; Will Lee on bass; John Medeski and Jerry Z on organ, Allen Toussaint on piano; and Ralph McDonald on percussion.

Twisted Blues is available for purchase here via Amazon.
