OK Go is known for their epic music videos that have received tens of millions of views on YouTube. NPR’s music arm is known for their intimate performances as part of the Tiny Desk Concert series.
So when NPR had to move their Washington D.C. headquarters across town earlier this year, the two parties teamed up for a Tiny Desk Concert that would truly be memorable. What ensued was two full days of shooting OK Go playing the song “All is Not Lost,” beginning at NPR’s old location and continuing until the desk of Bob Boilen was officially installed in its new home.
The quartet ran through the song a whopping 223 times— in the office, on the back of a moving truck bed and in an elevator. Several NPR personalities make cameos in the resulting compilation, as well.
