Chicago formed rock band OK Go have become viral video gods, beginning with the Grammy-award winning music video for “Here It Goes Again” (known best as the treadmill video) and continuing with the March 2010 Rube Goldberg Machine version of “This Too Shall Pass,” which has enjoyed over 24 million YouTube views.
The indie pop band even raised awareness for animal rescue recently with 2010’s “White Knuckles” video, which featured highly trained mutts (and a goat) performing synchronized tricks.
In another charitable effort, the custom-designed Squier by Fender guitars used by OK Go in their 2007 “Do What You Want” music video are now for sale in support of The Fender Music Foundation. The video was shot in a single room in which every surface (and every prop, instrument, and even the performers that enter it) was covered in the same damask wallpaper pattern.
