In a random but amazing development, the great Nile Rodgers recently took the stage with U2′s Bono and the Edge to form an epic collaboration.
The occasion came about at the (RED) Auction, which helped raise more than $26 million to fight AIDS in Africa. During the after party, Rodgers led the assembled band — which included the powerful vocal stylings of Beninoise singer Angélique Kidjo— in a rendition of the current Daft Punk smash “Get Lucky” and David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance.”
While Bono might stumble over a few lyrics, the performances are pretty epic, nonetheless.
