Nile Rodgers Discusses New Daft Punk Album

Fans attending Coachella last weekend were treated to a surprise taste of the upcoming Daft Punk album, as a clip from Random Access Memory‘s lead single “Get Lucky” played right before the Yeah Yeah Yeahs began their set on the Main Stage.

In addition, the same clip featuring Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers and artist Pharrell Williams aired during the NBC telecast of Saturday Night Live.

The highly-anticipated album looks to use more live instrumentation than the French DJs have previously used, with Rodgers playing a major role, along with collaborators Williams, Giorgio Moroder and Animal Collective’s Panda Bear.

In a series of videos Daft Punk has been releasing leading up to Random Access Memory‘s May 21 release, Rodgers, who has posted tweets about working with Fender on a signature model, talked about his role in the recording process.

Check out both clips below and visit Rodgers’ official website for more information.
