The Smashing Pumpkins have just dropped their tenth track from the 44-track opus, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. Listen to “Owata” below.
In other Smashing Pumpkins news, Fender signature artist Billy Corgan has announced that the group will be taking a break after releasing “Owata” and returning to the studio to record a full album.
“Even though I pronounced the album dead, I guess I still want to do another one,” says Corgan in a video he posted to the Pumpkins Facebook page.
The new disc will be called Oceania and will be part of the overall Teargarden By Kaleidyscope project.
“It’s the album within the album,” explains Corgan.
In the same video, Corgan also announces that the Pumpkins have finally secured rights to all their unreleased material, and that fans can expect remastered reissues of Gish, Siamese Dream and Pisces Iscariot by Christmas, complete with extra tracks. 2011 will bring Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, The Aeroplane Flies High and Adore, while 2013 will see Machina I and Machina II reissues with the songs in the correct running order.
