With Bruce Springsteen’s new album Wrecking Ball due out tomorrow, Jimmy Fallon decided to celebrate the third anniversary of his show last week by honoring his frequent guest with a week-long tribute to the singer. Elvis Costello, John Legend and Kenny Chesney appeared throughout the week to perform Springsteen covers with the Boss starting off and closing out the week with performances.
On Friday night, Springsteen performed new songs “Jack Of All Trades” and “Death To My Hometown,” as well as a funky version of “The E-Street Shuffle,” backed by the E-Street Band, the Roots and Tom Morello.
Springsteen and Fallon also paired for a cover of LMFAO‘s infectious hit, ‘Sexy and I Know It.’ For this number, Springsteen rocked his look from the ’80s while Fallon returned to his Neil Young disguise. (Some may remember back in November 2010 when Springsteen and Fallon wore similar costumes to perform a cover of Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair.”)
Watch below and check out Springsteen striking LMFAO’s signature flexing pose at the end of the number.
