From first albums and first concerts to first tours and first instruments, Canadian alternative rockers Metric touched on many different topics in a recent Music First interview for Bud Light.
When the question of first instruments arose, drummer Joules Scott-Key explained how he negotiated a killer deal.
”This guy was walking down the street with two guitars in cases and he said, ‘I have some guitars to sell,’” Scott-Key recalled. ”He opened up one [that] was a bass, a P-bass, and the other was the Jaguar. He said, ‘$600’ and I said, ‘$50’ and he said, ‘sold.’”
“That guitar still gets played on stage,” added guitarist James Shaw. ”Every night.”
