Marcus Miller's "Tutu Revisited" Tour Under Way

This spring and summer, renowned bass player Marcus Miller will perform jazz legend Miles Davis’ album Tutu across North America during his “Tutu Revisited” tour. Miller wrote, played, arranged and co-produced most of the material on the 1986 Grammy-Award winning album, which defined a new sound for Davis in the late ‘80s.

Miller began the tour with an April 28 performance in Montreal, Canada, coinciding with the opening of the “We Want Miles” multimedia exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

The Fender signature artist will be featured tomorrow at the New Orleans Heritage & Jazz Festival, followed by a string of U.S. dates throughout June.

Miller, who originally embarked on the “Tutu Revisited” tour in 2009 in Europe and Japan, is also expected to soon announce additional dates in Europe.
