M83′s Anthony Gonzalez dropped by the Fender Artist Showroom in Burbank, Calif., last week to pick up a new American Deluxe Tele in Tungsten.
He has since sent us a follow-up text, writing, “I can’t stop playing it. It’s probably the best guitar of my tiny collection 
.”
We expect to see Gonzalez rocking the new guitar this Friday night at Coachella. M83 will also play Coachella the following Friday night on April 20.
Pitchfork, Stereogum, PopMatters and Paste Magazine listed M83′s single “Midnight City” in the top five “Best Songs of 2011,” but only recently did the track break into Billboard‘s Hot 100, where it currently sits at no. 75. Enjoy the official music video for “Midnight City” below.
